Kambal Group of Companies has been established by the late Abdelsalam Kambal in 1925. The activities of the Group started by local trading in agricultural products namely sesame, melon seeds, gum Arabic and hibiscus flowers.The activities and business of the Group developed when the sons completed their education and joined their father. Modern means of administration were introduced and the Group started the business of export and import. In the early 1970s the Group started establishing a number of factories and the business developed into a group of companies.
During the early 1970s, Kambal Group embarked on an ambitious industrialization program, establishing a number of manufacturing facilities and expanding its activities into multiple sectors. Over the decades, the organization evolved into a diversified group of companies with interests spanning manufacturing, trading, distribution, agriculture, consumer products, and industrial ventures.
