Beautycare Brazil, the internationalization project dedicated to promoting the Brazilian Cosmetics, Toiletries, and Fragrances (CT&F) industry on the global stage, is set to embark on an exclusive trade mission to South Africa from February 17 to 20, 2025. This initiative is spearheaded by ABIHPEC (the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletries, and Fragrances Industry) in collaboration with ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The mission will bring together 11 leading Brazilian companies specializing in high-quality beauty and personal care products: Embelleze, Naju Cosméticos, Oceanhair Professional, Griffus Cosmetics, Be Factory Laboratories, Let Me Be, Vollmens, Yamá Cosméticos, Sweeteez Gold Caviar, Natuhair Cosméticos, and MacPaul Professional. These companies will engage in strategic business meetings with key South African buyers, with discussions taking place in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

According to Gueisa Silvério, International Business Manager at ABIHPEC and manager of the Beautycare Brazil project, South Africa represents a high-potential market for Brazilian beauty products. In 2024, the country imported $220,300 worth of products from Beautycare Brazil participants, reflecting a 9.4% increase compared to 2023. Notably, demand for finished beauty products surged by 34.4%, while interest in cosmetic ingredients grew by 5.7% over the same period.

Our goal with this trade mission is to strengthen partnerships, explore new business opportunities, and expand the presence of Brazilian beauty brands in this dynamic and evolving market," said Silvério.

This trade mission marks another step in Beautycare Brazil’s ongoing efforts to position Brazil as a global leader in the beauty and personal care sector, fostering international collaborations and enhancing export opportunities for its member companies.

Created in 2000, Beautycare Brazil is a partnership program between the Brazilian Association of the Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics Industry (ABIHPEC) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Its specialized team works individually, always aiming at the international growth of its group of participating companies.
